Get Immediate Mental Health Support—No ER Visit Needed

When you're facing a mental health crisis, you need help now—not in a week, and not after a long wait in the emergency room. At Lifeline Walk-In Medical & Mental Health Clinic, we provide urgent mental health care for non-emergent conditions, available 7 days a week with no appointment necessary.

Whether you’re overwhelmed by anxiety, experiencing emotional distress, or simply don’t know where else to turn, we’re here with compassionate, same-day support—in a safe, stigma-free environment.

When to Choose a Walk-In Mental Health Clinic

Hospital emergency rooms are often overcrowded and focused on medical emergencies. If you're not in immediate danger but still need urgent support, a
walk-in mental health clinic is the best place to go.

We help individuals experiencing:

  • Panic attacks or severe anxiety
  • Intense stress or emotional overwhelm
  • Depressive episodes
  • Trouble coping with grief or trauma
  • Thoughts of self-harm (without immediate intent or plan)
  • Relationship or family crises
  • Sudden changes in behavior or mood

Our licensed mental health professionals are trained to assess, stabilize, and support you—right when you need it.

Why Choose Lifeline Walk-In Clinic for Mental Health Crisis Care?

✅ Same-Day, Immediate Support

No waiting weeks for an appointment. We offer same-day access to qualified mental health providers, with walk-in availability every day.

✅ An Alternative to the Emergency Room

Our clinic is a quieter, calmer, and more focused setting than the ER. We handle non-life-threatening mental health crises quickly, efficiently, and with personalized care.

✅ Open 7 Days a Week

Mental health challenges don’t follow a Monday–Friday schedule. That’s why Lifeline is open every day, including evenings and weekends.

✅ Stigma-Free Mental Health Care

We create a judgment-free space where you can be heard, supported, and understood. There’s no shame in asking for help—only strength.

✅ Integrated Medical & Mental Health Support

If your crisis includes physical symptoms or concerns (like sleep issues, headaches, or medication side effects), our medical team can also assist during your visit.

What to Expect During a Walk-In Visit

When you arrive at Lifeline Walk-In Clinic, you’ll be greeted by a friendly team trained to help those in emotional distress. After a brief intake, you’ll meet with a licensed provider who will:

  • Listen to your concerns
  • Conduct a mental health assessment
  • Offer immediate strategies to help you cope
  • Provide treatment recommendations
  • Refer you to ongoing therapy or psychiatric care if needed

Whether you need a one-time session or the start of a longer healing journey, we’re here for you.

LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles County Public Health Department is ending clinical services at seven of its 13 locations throughout the county. What You Need To Know Cuts result from significant fiscal challenges because of a more than $50 million cut in federal, state, and local funding According to the County Health Department, federal funding accounts for almost 50% of its budget Due to continued uncertainty, the statement released by the health department noted there could be additional service disruptions going forward The clinics that are stopping services offered things like vaccines and STD testing In a statement released by the health department, it cited significant fiscal challenges because of a more than $50 million cut in federal, state and local funding. Dr. Anulika Chilaka opened Lifeline Walk-in Clinic in Torrance a year ago, and she said privately owned clinics like hers will not be impacted by these cuts. “It is concerning when people are losing access to care. It is always concerning to anyone from a health care standpoint, but we want people to know we are here for you,” said Dr. Chilaka. According to the County Health Department, federal funding accounts for almost 50% of its budget. Because of a more than $50 million cut in federal, state, and local funding, the county will close locations starting on February 27. Due to continued uncertainty, the statement released by the health department noted there could be additional service disruptions going forward. Leaving family-owned clinics like Dr. Chilaka’s filling the gap. “We are open, we don’t have the same restrictions, we can do as much as we can, we can spend as much time with our patients, we can do more than perhaps some other places may be able to,” said Dr. Chilaka. In a statement sent to Spectrum News by LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, she said in part: “The Department of Public Health’s decision was based on low patient volume and the clinic’s limited scope of care. I will continue to monitor DPH’s closure plan to ensure patients are fully supported through referrals to nearby community-based clinics and other transition resources so they continue receiving the care they need.” The clinics that are stopping services offered things like vaccines and STD testing. According to the health department, these locations will still offer non-clinical services and programs.
